Context
The challenge
Saigas move across vast, remote and often politically divided landscapes. Counting them, understanding their movements and detecting die-offs early all require sustained, coordinated fieldwork.
Data gathered once is of limited use. What protects a migratory species is a long, consistent record that governments and partners trust.
